Kathy Kacer will be discussing her book The Brave Princess, which is based on Princess Alice of Greece, the mother of the United Kingdom’s Prince Philip and great-grandmother of Princes William and Harry. Born deaf, she knew what it was like to face discrimination. Living in Greece during WWII under the Nazi occupation, Princess Alice risked her life to hide Tilde Cohen, a young Jewish girl, and her mother. An up-stander, she inspires children today to act boldly in the face of injustice.
