Hey Everyone,
I'm a actually a mix of emotions right now. I am truly missing everyone. I miss seeing you in shul and I miss being able to catch up and feel that community connection that we all share.
But I'm also really excited. We are launching our ALL NEW B.E.B.Y. BNAI MITZVAH PROGRAM! The whole program will be focussed on enhancing and connecting to our unique Jewish identity.
I have been working hard on UNIT ONE which will focus specifically on concepts of Jewish Identity. The initial flyers for the program are below. I'm really looking forward to the next two units as well as there are some amazing presenters and programs being lined up.
If you have a child who recently had, or is about to have their Bar or Bat Mitzvah, this program is for you. It will be fun, educational, engaging, thought provoking and will give your Bnai Mitzvah kids a real sense of connection to our local and broader Jewish community. In coming E-blasts watch for announcements about all new opportunities to be together with our community!

TORAH TALK FOR THE TABLE with Rabbi David
Lech Lecha
Lech Lecha introduces us to Avraham Avinu and Sarah Imeinu- our ancestors Abraham and Sarah. They were entirely unique individuals: Even though most people worshipped idols, they recognized God's unity in the world, in Nature, and in themselves.
Knowing their own uniqueness empowered them to live their lives fully and authentically, regardless of what anyone else said.
Rebbe Nachman teaches that Avraham's uniqueness was that he was so comfortable with himself, that he would do what he knew was the right thing regardless of what anyone else would say.
Rebbe Nachman goes on to remind each of us that WE are unique in the same way that Avraham was unique. We should each do what is right, even if someone else is saying something else. We should also not worry about others who might disagree with us, as they are also unique and are just doing their best also.

When you see something doing the wrong thing, how do you respond?
