Hey Everyone,
The High Holidays this year were different, and a whirlwind, but given how different everything is, I am so happy about how much positive feedback we have been getting. We really did our best to make sure that it was a meaningful experience for everyone, whether you were joining us here in the shul or via livestream from home. It is so great to know that we were all together, even if physically distant.
With the holidays behind us, we are working to make sure that the NEXTgen community will be actively engaged in shul and programs. Meanwhile everything needs to be modified to be Covid safe. Some of the projects that we are working on include:
1. The return of Family Shabbat 2. Bar/Bat Mitzvah / Teen programming 3. Family programs for parents 4. Family programs for kids 5. Learning opportunities with Rabbi David
While there are already plans in the works, we are always looking for more ideas. If there is anything in specific you want to see, please let me know.
We are also looking to create a NEXTgen Team of volunteers who are lookng to make things happen for the benefit of their own families and our community in general. If you are interested in getting involved, pease let me know!
Registration for Shabbat Services is open until Friday at 10am.
CHECK OUT THE NEW SECTION OF THE E-BLAST - BEBY NEXTgen Community Connection. In this section we will be including programs, articles, links, and updates from our community members. It is one small way we can all support each other - as a community!

TORAH TALK FOR THE TABLE with Rabbi David
Bereisheet
This week the Torah starts again. It is an opportunity for new beginnings. One of the initial directions HaShem gives to humanity is "l'ovdah u'l'shomra - to work and protect the Earth".
This message is both about taking care of the environment, and also living sustainably.
Discussion Questions
What are some ways that you can "work" with the environment?
What are some ways that you can "protect" the environment?
Why do you think the Torah teaches us these principles in the very first chapters?
How does this message about the environment also apply to taking care of each other?
In this section we will be including programs, articles, links, and updates from our community members. It is one way we can all support each other - as a community!
