The Beth Emeth Youth to Young Family Email
Hey Everyone,
This week has been one of the most intense I can remember. With all the stress of life right now I thought I was going to break - I couldn't handle it anymore. And then, on Tuesday afternoon, my perspective shifted, thank God!
Refocussing on the important things - simple family time, connecting to friends and community, and doing the things that I love - gave me the opportunity settle my mind and 'get back to business' with a new found focus and joy.
Monday night begins Lag Ba'Omer. Join Rabbi David for a Bon-fire Kumzitz over Zoom. Bring your instruments and sing (and lead) your favorite songs as a community. When: Monday, May 11 Time: 9:30pm Where: ZOOM https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81706277037
See flyers below!

TORAH TALK FOR THE TABLE with Rabbi David
Parshat Emor
This week's Parshah is all about the Kedushah (holiness) of the Cohanim. It reminds them about the importance of keeping their minds and hearts focussed on HaShem. The parshah finishes by teaching about all the special times of year: all the Jewish holidays and the counting of the Omer.
Discussion Questions
Why do you think the Torah gives a whole parshah to the Cohanim? What is the job of a Cohen?
The Torah also calls us a Kingdom of Cohanim. How do you think you are like a Cohen?
