HAPPY PASSOVER!
Hey Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well and that your seders were meaningful. I want to start by telling you all that I am thinking of you. There are a lot of you who I have called and spoken to, and still many who I will be calling in the days ahead. I know that this time is busy and challenging, though not without its silver-lining.
The 7th day of Pesach, which begins tonight, is the day when we cross the Red Sea - yes, we - and not just our ancestors. We are all going through it and the experience of crossing the sea is one of leaving our personal Pharohs and Egypts behind. We become reborn on the other-side, truly free to become who we are meant to be, both personally and as a community.
Have you felt trapped lately? Are you feeling more free from this whole experience? I've been experiencing a total combination, fluxuating constantly between the two.
On the 7th day of Pesach we crossed through the split sea as individual slaves and emerged a united and free people. What does that freedom look like to you?
I've been posting daily "Omer Intentions" - reflections for personal growth based on the counting of the Omer. You can find those on Facebook - my personal, the Beth Emeth, and the BEBY NEXTgen pages. Make sure you are following the pages so you don't miss them.
There is also a lot of other content that the shul is putting out, so please check that out as well.
One more thing: as a shul community, it is being together that gives us strength. While we can't currently be physically together, we are trying to be as virtually together as possible.
But, what do you need?
What Jewish content are you looking for?
What general content are you looking for?
I want to provide for and meet the needs of the community and need your help to do so - simply by emailing to let us know what you'd like to see and be a part of.
Beth Emeth, and also more personally, Shira Rachel and I, are thinking about you and are here for you during this experience. This is true on Chag and Shabbat as any other day. If you need anything at all - even just a listening ear, please, do not hesitate to call.
