Our friends at Beth Sholom have informed us that on advice from Toronto Public Health and out of care and concern for the community, Beth Sholom will be closed for two days due to the potential spread of COVID-19.
If you attended Beth Sholom on Thursday, March 5 or Friday, March 6 and are feeling unwell, we recommend that you stay home and reach out to Toronto Public Health via 311. We ask that all Beth Emeth members and guests remain vigilant about washing their hands and avoiding physical contact with other people.
Our Purim festivities will continue as planned with the Megillah reading followed by the Purim Shpiel. For our members who would like to participate in the mitzvah of hearing the story of Purim from home, we will live stream tonight's Megillah reading.
The reading of Megillat Esther will be live streamed on the Beth Emeth Facebook page at 7:30 p.m. this evening. Click here to watch.
All other services and events will continue as scheduled.
Beth Emeth's senior leadership is continuing to monitor events and will continue to keep you informed regarding the risks of COVID-19 to our community.

As of this time, the risk of exposure to COVID-19 is low. We appreciate our community's continued efforts to minimize its spread and protect the most vulnerable members of our community.
