PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE SHABBAT TIMES & SERVICES THIS WEEK COMING SOON NEXT-GEN/YOUTH TO YOUNG FAMILIES ONGOING PRPGRAMS APEX KOSHER CATERING ALEPH BEIT CHADASH SCHOOL MINYAN VOUCHERS
This Shabbat is called Shabbat Zachor - The Sabbath of remembrance. Primarily, we remember the heinous acts committed by Amalek against our people in ancient times. Haman was a descendant of Amalek, which explains the special designation for the Shabbat prior to Purim.
There are many forms of remembrance in Judaism. Some actually daven six particular remembrances every day. When we light candles and recite Kiddush, we observe the Mitzvah to remember Shabbat.
This past Tuesday, the seventh of Adar, we remembered the Yahrzeit of Moshe Rabeinu. Hevra Kadishas get together and honor their sacred duties on that day.
In our personal lives, we remember happy and sad occasions. As we prepare to celebrate Purim this Monday night and Tuesday, I pray that the happy will far outnumber the sad.
Shabbat Shalom!

For those who are between 18 to 25 as of October 2020 Â the membership fee is $9.
