Shabbat Morning Positions

Beth Emeth's Youth Department is looking to hire energetic, engaging, and caring staff for weekly Shabbat morning youth programming. Positions are available for the Nursery (Kindergarten and younger) and Junior Congregation (Grades 1-6). Positions start September 7th, 2019 and go until June 27th, 2020. These are paid positions.

Responsibilities include:
-Welcoming all children into the programming space
-Engaging with the children in play and other activities
-Leading interactive and fun circle time (nursery) or prayers (junior congregation)
-Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of participants at all times
-Supervising volunteers and other Shabbat morning staff
-Working together with the Youth Coordinator and other Shabbat morning Youth Department staff to execute all aspects of Shabbat morning youth programs
-Attending staff training sessions as necessary (not on Saturday mornings)

High Holiday Volunteers and Staff

Thank you for your interest in helping out the Beth Emeth Youth Department during the High Holidays! Positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications MUST be received by FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 13th at 5:00 PM. If you have any questions, you can email or Please note: We will be contacting all applicants after labour day to confirm room assignments and remind everyone of the important dates.

Please be aware that all communication will be between the volunteer/staff and the Youth Coordinator. If an application lists a parent email as the contact, the form will be null and void and you will not be able to work or volunteer. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Note: You must be available for:

- Wednesday, September 18 (evening staff training)
- Monday September 30 (9:15 am-1:15 pm, Rosh Hashanah 1)
- Tuesday October 1 (9:15 am-1:15 pm, Rosh Hashanah 2)
- Wednesday October 9 (9:15 am-1:15 pm, Yom Kippur)
- ONE OF Tuesday October 8 (5:30-9:00 pm, Kol Nidre) OR Wednesday October 9 (5:30-8:30 pm, Neila)

Upon successful completion of the High Holidays, volunteers will be given 18 hours of community service.
