Rhapsody - An Evening of Music & Hope

Leo Spellman was a Polish/Canadian composer and Holocaust survivor who was a long-time member of Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda. His brilliant composition, Rhapsody 1939-1945 was lost for 5 decades then recorded and performed in Toronto a few months before his death at 99 years of age. You’re invited to celebrate his life and music and enjoy performances by some of Canada's most iconic musicians, including Lighthouse co-founder Paul Hoffert, one of the producers of a film that tells Spellman’s miraculous story. Performers also include Marilyn Lightstone, Moshe Hammer, Cantor David Guber, Jackie Richardson & Jim Gelcer. 

Funds raised will assist in the production of the documentary. There’ll be a sneak preview of footage from the film with the director in attendance.
