Jr. CASY, (Conservative Alliance of Synagogue Youth) Program Adviser, grades 6-8
There is currently an opening for the position of Jr. CASY, (Conservative Alliance of Synagogue Youth) Program Adviser, grades 6-8, in the BEBY Youth Department. This position consists of planning, implementing, and executing, age appropriate social and religious programming for the targeted audience. The position is part time and requires someone with experience in the field. The adviser must have some Jewish education background, whether formal or informal as well as a lot of energy, creativity, and dedication to Jewish Youth. We require a lead tenor for our Liturgical Choir. You must have strong music reading skills and a basic understanding of Hebrew and Jewish ritual and religious services. If you would like to participate in a male choir with a long-standing tradition of excellence,

Seeking volunteers to assist in teaching adults with special needs about
Jewish Holidays, Prayer, Torah and Hebrew literacy through art, music and
dance. Artistic or musical talent an asset. We can offer community hours
for all volunteering students.
Held in Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda Synagogue at 100 Elder Street on Sundays from
10:00AM to 11:30AM. School year begins on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008.

Drivers Wanted! We have elderly members that require a lift to and from Shul for daily and Shabbat Services and from time-to-time doctors and other appointments. If you are available to provide this service, please contact the Shul office at 416-633-3838 or Lorene Richmond via email. University students with a car (must have a valid drivers licence) and spare time are also welcome to volunteer.
