What is Terumah?

Terumah is Beth Emeth's annual campaign to raise additional funds to support our goal of full inclusion. No one should ever be refused for their ability to contribute.

Terumah contributions are voluntary gifts that enable you to make a difference in the lives of our fellow members. The principle is simple: to deliver on a promise made a long time ago that no member will ever be left behind.

Our members come from all walks of life and we are committed to our promise to never turn anyone away but rather to welcome all and create a sense of belonging for all.

Who are you helping?

Over 200 families, each with unique circumstances

THE WIDOW. A young parent raising children in a Jewish environment who feels a constant struggle to afford the financial obligations of raising a Jewish family.
Your generosity to Terumah will help ensure they can maintain a strong connection to Beth Emeth.

THE SENIOR. Living on a lower, fixed income, perhaps requiring additions caregivers or moving into an assisted living facility, membership at the Synagogue many seniors hold so close to their heart can be difficult to afford.
Your generosity to Terumah will help ensure they can maintain their spiritual and social connections through more affordable membership.

AND MANY MORE. The financial pressures to live and be Jewish in Toronto have never been greater. Synagogue affiliation leads to strong connections to the Jewish community. Beth Emeth acknowledges these challenges and with your help will ensure that no family is left behind and that all families can have a strong connection to Beth Emeth.

No one person can do everything but each of us can do something

Every donation of every size makes a difference.
