The Kadima School was founded in 1961 to offer Jewish children and teenagers the opportunity to attend an accredited Hebrew and religious school programme. When it was established, Kadima was a pioneering effort, one of the first in North America. Although it was sponsored by Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda Synagogue it has been a community school from its very beginning.
The curriculum includes all the Jewish holidays and how they are celebrated in the synagogue and the home. Talmudic lore and Jewish thought is integrated in the learning. Our connection with Israel is also emphasized and a number of our students who have visited Israel can relate to it and recall their own experiences.
