The inaugural undertaking of Beth Emeth's "Becoming Our Best" capital campaign, is the renovation of the Chapel. The new interior will incorporate the latest in sanctuary design with the
best of our time-honoured traditions.
The chapel's natural illumination will be enhanced
by a beautiful blend of custom designed stained
and tinted glass adding more aesthetic beauty to the
chapel.
The Reader's table for the Torah service and for
leading prayers will be relocated to the center of the
room fostering a more inclusive and participatory
atmosphere.
Additional enhancements include:
- chapel floor made entirely of white Jerusalem Stone
imported from Israel.
- a prominent Ner Tamid (eternal light).
- comfortable seating in refinished pews
- new energy efficient light fixtures
- contemporary interiors
This beautiful state-of-the-art chapel will be a source of pride for our entire synagogue
community.

The new seating will feature a more traditional style, with pews encircling the Reader's table, while
retaining the Ark's prominent position at the front of the chapel in full view of all congregants.
Now at floor level, the Ark, the Reader's table and the entire chapel will be user friendly and barrier-free. There will even be a designated location for wheelchairs. Cabinet drawers will be made available so those who attend services regularly can securely store their talit-tefilin in the chapel and no longer have to
bring them from home.
